Redesign for Indeed Social App
Project Overview
This project is a UX/UI redesign of the Indeed mobile application with an enhanced social and profile-focused experience. The redesign aims to make job searching more interactive, visually structured, and user-friendly while maintaining professional clarity.
Problem Statement
The original Indeed interface prioritizes listings but lacks strong visual hierarchy, personalization, and engaging user interaction. Job seekers often feel overwhelmed by repetitive layouts and limited profile visibility. The challenge was to redesign the experience to feel more intuitive, modern, and structured, while keeping the professional tone of a job-search platform.
Goal
The primary goal was to:
- Improve content hierarchy and readability
- Enhance user profile visibility
- Simplify job filtering and browsing
- Create a clearer and more engaging mobile interface
- Develop a clickable prototype demonstrating improved user flow
Target Users
Young professionals, students, and job seekers who want a clean, efficient, and visually organized way to browse and manage job opportunities.
Design Process
1. Low-Fidelity Wireframes
I started by mapping out the core screens:
- Home / Job Feed
- Search & Filter
- Job Card Layout
- Profile Page
- Contact & Experience Sections
2. Information Architecture
I reorganized job cards to clearly display:
- Position title
- Company
- Location
- Salary range
- Job type (Remote / Hybrid / Full-time)
- Quick-save functionality
3. High-Fidelity UI Design
The redesigned interface introduces:
- Stronger visual hierarchy
- Clear card separation
- Modern typography
- Improved spacing
- More structured profile layout
- Bottom navigation for quick access
The profile page was redesigned to feel more personal and professional, displaying applied jobs, interviews, saved positions, skills, and experience in a clean card-based system.
4. Interactive Prototype
I created a clickable prototype to demonstrate:
- Navigation between Home and Profile
- Job browsing flow
- Interaction between UI components
- Realistic mobile experience simulation
Key Design Improvements
- Improved readability and spacing
- Clear job categorization
- Stronger visual consistency
- Enhanced mobile usability
- Better balance between professional and engaging design
Outcome
The final prototype presents a more intuitive and user-centered job search experience. The redesign demonstrates my ability to analyze an existing platform, identify usability gaps, and translate improvements into structured wireframes and interactive prototypes.
This project strengthened my skills in mobile UX strategy, interface hierarchy, and user-flow prototyping.
